Amanda originally wrote this song for me in 2020; in the middle of my struggle with where I was in the universe, world, politics, religion, social justice etc. Amanda and I have written songs together for a very long time now (check out our work as Future Kings of Denmark if you are so inclined). For this song, she absolutely got where I was and I truly feel this song now even more than when we first recorded it. I can honestly say I’m now more at peace with myself than I ever have been, even amidst what feels like more chaos and sadness than I’ve ever experienced before.
